Wetland Ecology Center of Excellence Effective Partnerships
Our success will be built on multidisciplinary collaborations between MU scientists and professionals in organizations such as the Missouri Department of Conservation, the U.S. Geological Survey, Ducks Unlimited, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other state, federal and private partners.
The center will bring together these partners to effectively confront problems related to the sustained use and conservation of wetlands, and the fish and wildlife that depend on these habitats.
Through these partnerships, the center will:
- Increase our understanding of wetland functions and values.
- Educate future wetland research and management professionals.
- Provide science-based outreach to support and train professionals in the restoration and management of wetlands.
