Half-time teaching and research assistantships are awarded on the basis of scholastic merit.
Research or teaching assistants working toward a master's degree receive $12,812 the first 12 months and $14,382 per year for subsequent appointments.
If you are working towards a doctorate, you will receive $14,688 the first 12 months and $16,524 per year for subsequent appointments.
Research/teaching assistants are supported during the summer on research funds. Academically qualified students receiving teaching or research assistantships also are eligible to receive a remission of course fees and a waiver of tuition.
A number of fellowships also are awarded on the basis of scholastic merit.
